[4/3/2014] Many of our members are being approached by real estate agents and developers wanting them to sign agent agreements (selling your house for a % fee) or option contracts (locking you into selling to one party only for a period, but only if they decide they want to (for a very small payment). Please be wary of the pitfalls of these and get good advice before entering into them. You may wish to inform the group of their approaches (as some in Carlingford Road, and Cliff Road have done).
[20/1/2014] The recommendation is with the Minister for Planning & Infrastructure - announcement expected now in February, 2014. Following the official gazettal of the changes, the Hornsby and Parramatta LEP will be changed. Then the DCP (development control plans) will be exhibited before council adopts them. Any development application from that time will be under the new zonings and controls.
16/12/2013 - Hornsby Council planner reports the announcement by NSW Government has been expected any time. If not before Christmas however, it could be in January, 2014. [Progress within govt. confirmed by HSC later in December].
6/10/2013 - It is still with the NSW Government to finalise their plans, and announce the changes. In the meantime Hornsby LEP has been amended to fit and gazetted by Government, plus Parramatta DCP is amended and out for consultation until Nov. 1. These are the 'instruments' used for actual development applications.
26/6/2013 - Next meeting of Community liaison group, attended for us by Mark, is still to be advised (16/12 no change)

Common Good Epping Group – Notes No. 1 (16/3/13)
Hello neighbours, Yes, it is ON!
The Minister for Planning announced his government's plans for Epping Town Centre and nearby residential areas (including us) on Saturday, 16 March, 2013: http://www.planning.nsw.gov.au/DesktopModules/MediaCentre/getdocument.aspx?mid=1153
Public comments close on Tuesday 30 April, 2013.
The detailed information is available from this web page and the many links there
http://www.planning.nsw.gov.au/on-exhibition#epping_precinct
The Common Good Group is hoping to hold a meeting of us all asap and we are looking into date and venue [on Wed 27 March 2013 at Epping Baptist Church)],
The critical document for us is probably Sheet HOB_001 in the file called ‘Appendix C Rezoning Maps' and an updated table drawn up that shows how each house may be affected by the current plans. Note that the heights allowed have changed in some areas of Cliff Road, all of Hazlewood, and Kent Street.
Epping Civic Trust’s media release on the Governments announcement. The Epping Civic Trust will hold a public meeting in this period [Thurs 18 April]
